Tarun joined Synamedia’s R&D center in Bangalore as an engineering intern during his last semester and his career got off to a flying start:

A practical approach
Our six-month paid internship program provides final year engineering students and recent graduates with hands-on experience working on live projects in different departments alongside experienced, supportive and knowledgeable colleagues. Interns roll up their sleeves and work on our clients’ real issues, working as a valued member of the team.
Our diverse teams include recent graduates as well as highly experienced engineers. We make sure that everyone can thrive and develop their careers at Synamedia, but we are delighted that employees are staying with us to continue to learn, improve and develop.
At the cutting edge of technology
Our interns work on projects that push the boundaries of digital transformation and produce tangible results. You might be working on technologies that improve the user experience, such as the ability to pause viewing on one device and then start watching on another seamlessly, or helping our customers add, create and deploy cloud-based video services, including for businesses. analysis, security and recording in the cloud.
You could help find new ways to use machine learning or be part of the team working on Synamedia Iris, the TV industry’s first end-to-end addressable advertising solution.
Interns play a key role in every team, so you’ll be encouraged to think creatively and question the way things are done to make sure we’re doing the right things in the right way at the right time.
Each intern is assigned a manager, mentor, buddy, as well as a dedicated HR advisor – so there are plenty of people supporting and guiding you with help very close at hand if you need it.

We really appreciate the contributions of our interns and encourage them to share their experiences and achievements. Leaders from other teams will be able to see firsthand the projects all interns have been working on, giving them the opportunity to discuss and share best practices as well as celebrate each intern’s accomplishments.
Receiving your first paycheck is something to celebrate, and we have plenty of team building activities during your internship – from team lunches to quizzes. We also have specific incentive and recognition programs and we are delighted to be able to reward any intern who makes a special contribution.
Well-being and work during Covid-19
Throughout the pandemic, we have supported working from home and will continue to apply work practices that ensure Synamedia employees feel safe. The additional measures we have put in place include the coverage of vaccines, the implementation of dedicated home care packages, oxygen concentrators and an employee assistance program.

Our innovative and dynamic screening platform gives you the opportunity to show your skills to your best advantage. We can create a unique set of adaptive questions based on an individual’s skills, and for the coding simulation you can choose your preferred coding technology.
At the end of the six-month program, we collect feedback from all of our interns and use those results to improve the program.
Synamedia wants to create great engineers and future leaders to help us stay at the forefront of video technology. Our internship program has been developed so that we can provide full time employment to interns who have thrived during their time with us. We are delighted that most of our interns have accepted vacancies and this year we have welcomed 13 interns as full time employees.

Abhishek: “As I was working on my machine learning internship project, I was encouraged to get involved, explore new IT topics, and supplement my learning. This contrasts with many other organizations that are reluctant to offer opportunities to newcomers and temp workers. It was great to work in a group with the other interns, everyone was friendly, and we had fun in the cafeteria where hot lunches were served daily. Now that I am a permanent employee, my experience here continues to improve every day.
Sahana JP: “I learned something new every day as an intern at Synamedia. I work alongside the whole team and am involved in every process. The environment here has helped me learn advanced skills from fellow interns, colleagues, mentors, and even managers. My understanding of programming skills, professionalism, time management and communication in the workplace has evolved tremendously over the past few months.
Sharath: “I joined the team in January 2020, working for the APAC deployment team. I was given a project called the Video Health Monitoring System, which monitors a set of channels 24/7. It gave me a good overview of how an end-to-end surveillance system works. The internship also allowed me to acquire a first work experience in the corporate world. I am currently working as a Systems Engineer for the APAC Deployment Team, with teammates from Israel. From the first days until now, I have been aware of the vast network of people who accompany me on my journey. Thanks to all of you, I am ready to learn more and more along the way.
